All Terrain Drive Gear for Evolve Electric Skateboards

Aside from the fact that the description is not enough to go off of they don't show any pictures of the item you are about to buy. I bought an all terrain drive gear and tried to return it because it was the wrong part only to get ghosted. I was well within the time limit to return but never got a response. This is a horrible company with no accountability. Not even a follow up to correct the mistake. I still have the part but have no use for it. The remote has almost caused me to crash at least twice because it just accelerated with no brakes to then just cutting off. I will never buy evolve products again and will advise anyone against them.

These additional gears make your board so much more than some of the other brands. You can change the way your board rides drastically by changing the wheel/gear setup. With the standard 7" AT wheels, moving from the standard 66T gear down to a 47T gear you will gain speed. It'll run as fast as the street wheels. You'll hit 26mph easily with a full batt. You're moving a lot faster than with the 66T gear. That said you do trade off torque and braking. The top speed will go up if you use a smaller gear, but your torque and braking will decrease. It isn't unsafe. It is just a different ride. Highly recommend trying if you like to ride AT's but want the speed back that you lose when switching from street to AT wheels.

At some point in the past year or so (when I first bought my renegade diablo), the right rear of my board received a knock that was hard enough to move the tube valve out of alignment with the rim slot. My best guess is that same collision is what may have initially damaged the gear drive, though not enough to affect it's performance, or for even for me to notice the valve misalignment. Somewhere between 6 to 12 months later, I rode through a tiny stream and must have collected a small rock between that gear and the drive belt, which provided enough force to finally cause the drive gear to crack beyond function, and relative belt to partially snap. This review is for the original drive gear and belt, which lasted for almost a year, even with me riding across very rocky and uneven terrain on multiple occasions. I just put the new one on yesterday, so I can review that if I ever need to replace it. Big thanks to the Evolve Team for their ongoing customer support and the best board I've ever had the pleasure of riding 👍👍

Well-made, went straight on

I ride in a lot of loose gravel. It knocks a few of the struts out, but the gears hold together for thousands of kms before needing replacement

Would like them made in a harder material,seem to break chunks out of them alot.

They’re kinda weak, to be honest. I broke one just two weeks after purchasing them. I ended up buying a second set if they break again, I guess I’m kind of out of luck and will need to buy another set. To be fair, the break happened after hitting a manhole cover that was raised above the road surface.

Not to good, one of the gears seem to not line up 100% with the belt which ended up offsetting it too much (not left and right but the feed rate if that makes sense) the teeth didn’t match the belt. Which ended up chewing the belt out after applying the brakes. So walked home and back to the street wheels.

Purchased these to put on my GTR 1 series because I liked the surge hubs.The surge were meant for the Hadean & GTR2 series but they worked fine on the GTR1 i took a gamble hoping that the bearings system might have changed in diameter but no everything fits the way Evolve designed it to be.So in short they work on the GTR1.

I just purchased a Hadean and when I received it, I noticed that I had a small clicking sound when I was riding. I have two other GTR‘s and I’m familiar with how these boards operate. This noise was not normal after inspection I found that the drive gear which is a surge drive gear, one was loose and the hub. I contacted Evolve and immediately they reached out, wanting to help me, I sent him a video of the loose gear drive in the hub and they immediately asked what could be done. They wanted to send me new gears which I asked to have relay gears because I had extra hubs and I have found that the relay gears and hubs are a great fit together. Needless to say the customer service with Evolve is amazing they always reach out and their customers are always first priority. Thank you team. Riding smooth now no issues love the new Hadean👍

I ordered the the part for the other rim you sell with there prongs rather than five. Why you would market and sell rims that are not universal to your products is beyond me and I am very disappointed with my skateboard in general and have had many issues with it. I will get this one fixed and keep it as a backup but i am going Lacroix going forward.
